About Łukasz Dyczko

Łukasz Dyczko was born in 1997 in Gorlice, and started playing the saxophone at the age of ten.

When he was younger he played the flute, because he was too thin to play the saxophone – but ultimately the latter was the instrument of his dreams!

In 2011 Łukasz began his studies at the Karol Szymanowski Secondary Music School in Katowice, where he began to improve his musical skills under the supervision of professor Bernard Steuer. From there he has gone on to win many first prizes in a large number of international solo competitions, such us the "Marco Fiorindo" International Music Competition, and the International Sax Competition in Wrocław.

As a soloist, Łukasz has played accompanied by orchestras such as the Polish Radio Orchestra, Silesian Philharmonic, and Kraków Chamber Orchestra. For many years he has also been a member of various ensembles; playing in octet, quartet, piano trio and duet groups. He can’t imagine life without chamber music.
