YEREVAN -

Armenia make their debut at Eurovision Young Muisicians this year, and have already picked their act from Vienna.

Narek Kazazyan will represent Armenia in May’s Eurovision Young Musicians competition, after having been selected internally by broadcaster AMPTV. He will be the first Armenian entrant to take part in the biennial competition, and will play the kanun.

A musician since an early age, 15-year old Narek comes from a musical family. He studied both the piano and kanun aged just ten, and has performed in many countries including China, France, and the United Kingdom. He has won several prizes in both Armenia and abroad, and also took part in the ‘Rising Stars’ festival in the Kremnlin in Moscow- receiving a diploma from then Russian First Lady Svetlana Medvedeva.
