Jagoda Krzemińska has been selected as the Polish representative for Eurovision Young Musicians 2012 after winning the country's "Young Musician of the Year" competition last week. The young flute player already has a host of international prizes to her name, and will be looking to further that in Vienna next month.

Polish broadcaster TVP have announced their representative for the 2012 Eurovision Young Musicians. The winner of last week's Polish "Young Musician of the Year", Jagoda Krzemińska, will go forward to the semifinal in Vienna, with the final taking place a month today.

Sixteen year old Jagoda, who will play the flute in this year's competition, was chosen as the winner by a combination of jury and telephone voting over six other contestants that make it through to the final.

Born in 1996 in Kluczbork, Poland, Jagoda began playing the flute when she was 8 years old and at the Primary School. Since 2006 she has taken part in several flute courses and flute competitions, and in September 2009 she began her studies at the Secondary Music School in Opole with teacher Karina Kandzia-Maniak.

Over the past two years Jagoda has been rewarded with a collection of international prizes, including; first place in Belgrade's “Konjovic Peter” competition, first prize in the British Flute Society School Performer Class A Competition in London, and this year's first place in the International Music Competition held in Svirel, Slovenia.
