Last Social Trip Before The Final

Last Social Trip Before The Final
The Ferris Wheel
VIENNA -

After last night’s full rehearsal, all of this year’s acts had the chance to relax today on the final trip from the 2012 social programme. Tonight the finalists will perform for the honour of winning Eurovision Young Musicians 2012, whilst the semi-finalists will also be introduced to the pan-European audience.

Last night’s dress rehearsal was as near to the real event as the participants of this year’s competition have come. The seven finalists all performed their pieces to the applause of the audience that had gathered in the Rathausplatz. Meanwhile the semi-finalists were also in attendance as they are introduced to the viewers before the final result is announced.

This morning though saw a change to the pressure environment of the live show, with the last trip of the 2012 social programme. Both the finalists and non-finalists were taken to the Vienna ‘Prater’- the giant Ferris Wheel that offers spectacular views over the city, which you can see in our gallery here.

After the short ride, many of the contestants let themselves unwind in the amusement park on rollercoasters and other rides- including the dodgem-cars, where the Czech Republic and Slovenia battled for control of the road!
