Yesterday evening in Gothenburg, the winner of Polstjärnepriset was declared!

Congratulations to Albin Uusijärvi who won last night's national selection in Sweden, and will represent his country in this year's Eurovision Young Musicians competition. He was selected ahead of three other finalists, and plays the viola.

18-year old Albin comes from Solna, and was chosen as the winner by a professional jury. On anonuncement of the winner, the jury said that Albin "has a strong stage presence and a compelling musical expression".

Speaking about his win, Albin told local media "All the finalists were top notch, so it feels great to win. I probably have not fully understood the extent of this yet".
