Having one the last competition two years ago, Austria will be looking to defend its title in Cologne this September.

Following in Ziyu He's footsteps in Cologne this year will be Dominik Wagner, a double-bass player from Vienna. The 19-year old was chosen to represent Austria last month, and picked as the winning candidate in ORF's selection by a jury comprised of Christoph Becher, Raimund Langner, Angelika Losek, Martin Traxl and Elke Tschaikner.

Austria has a proud tradition in Eurovision Young Musicians, having won the competition five times. Vienna has also hosted the event six times over the past 34 years.
