The final contestant left to meet from this year’s Eurovision Young Dancers competition is representing Austria.

Fifteen-year old violinist Ziyu He was chosen to represent Austria in March, after a national selection where he beat several other constantans.

Born in Quingdo, China, Ziyu currently studies at the Leopold Mozart Institute of the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. “I am happy and lucky, that I was chosen for this competition, and am able to represent Austria”, says Ziyu, who has won numerous prizes since he began studying in Salzburg.

In practice for Eurovision Young Musicians, Ziyu is trying not to do anything out of the ordinary. “I am going to the music school usually every day, and trying not to change my routine too much” he explains. “I am in anticipation of arriving, and will be bringing good humour to Cologne!”

You can find out more about Ziyu on his profile page (here).
