Pianist Robert Bílý will represent the Czech Republic in Eurovision Young Musicians 2016.

Born in 1997 in Ústí nad Labem in the north of the country, Robert has taken piano lessons since 2003 and gone on to win over 70 national and international prizes during that time.

Robert has also performed in many countries outside of his homeland, including presages venues such as: the "Händel-Halle" in Halle, The "Berliner Philharmonie" in Berlin, and the "Teatro dal Verme” in Milan. In 2014 he attended the International laureate at the “Sommerakademie Mozarteum” (Mozarteum Summer Academy) in Salzburg in 2014, which subsequently led to an invitation for a concert in Salzburg as part of the “Salzburger Festspiele”, and for a piano course and concert with Emmanuel Ax in Switzerland.

The Czech Republic made its debut in Eurovision Young Musicians in 2002, returning to take part in 2012 and each event since.
