Athens, Greece -

After two days of auditions in Athens, Greece have chosen their representative for Eurovision Young Musicians 2014!

Vassilis Digos has been born in Athens. He started his first guitar lessons, in the age of 11, influenced by his Family Members as there were always professional musicians in it.

From the Greek capital, Vassilis started playing guitar at the age of 11, influenced by both of his parents – his father a teacher, and his mother with a classical guitar diploma!

He continued his studies and gained a scholarship from the Conservatory of Athens and, with Professor Costas Cotsiolis, he completed his master studies by graduating as a guitar soloist. Concurrently to completing his BA, Vassilis is a student at the National Kapodistrian University in Athens in the music department.

Vassilis has attended Masterclasses with the famous Professional Guitar Teachers Sergio Assad, Oscar Ghiglia, Lario Domeniconi, Hubert Kappel, Carlo Marchione, Dejan Ivanovich, Marco Socias, Zoran Dukic, Vladimir Gorbach, and Harold Gretton. He has mainly studied Baroque music, and has won prizes for his performances of great composers from that era.

And not only is Vassilis a brilliant guitarist, but he also composes his own pieces as well!
