Just over one week ago Eivind Holtsmark Ringstad was crowned the winner of Eurovision Young Musicians 2012 after a spectacular open air show in Vienna. Young Musicians.tv caught up with the prize winners!

After last night’s full rehearsal, all of this year’s acts had the chance to relax today on the final trip from the 2012 social programme. Tonight the finalists will perform for the honour of winning Eurovision Young Musicians 2012, whilst the semi-finalists will also be introduced to the pan-European audience.  

It’s a beautiful sunny day here in Vienna- the perfect day for the final of Eurovision Young Musicians 2012. After last night’s dress rehearsal, the seven finalists know that tonight is when it really matters, and one of them will be crowned the winner.  

This afternoon saw two important meetings take place in Vienna- the commentators and Heads of Delegations briefing was preceded by guests from one country hoping to host the next edition of Eurovision Young Musicians. Youngmusicians.tv takes you ‘behind the scenes’ of what happened today!  

This evening the first general rehearsal took place, giving each of the seven finalists a chance to see the open-air stage in a live environment for the first time.

This morning the seven finalists took a trip to the main centre of Austrian broadcaster ORF to prepare their outfits for the final. View the pictures in the gallery!

It's semifinal day one here in Vienna, where eight of the 14 Young Musicians from all over Europe will perform. The jury will be listening and watching both the performances today and tomorrow before deciding on the finalists for Friday.

With the countdown to this weekend's semifinals well underway, youngmusicians.tv is pleased to announce the final name on this year's jury for Eurovision Young Musicians 2012. Markus Hinterhäuser will be Head of the Final Jury on May 11 when Europe looks to showcase its finest young talent.

With just five days to go before the semifinal of this year's Eurovision Young Musicians, we can exclusively present to you the lady that will be heading up the jury for this weekend's shows!

Continuing youngmusicians.tv's exclusive presentation of this year's Jury Members, we're pleased to announced the fouth in the series. Norwegian ianist and conductor Christian Eggen will sit on the jury in both the semifinal and final this year.

Carol McGonnell from Ireland has been confirmed by the European Broadcasting Union as the third jury member to be announced this week. Ms. McGonnell will be on the judging panel for both the semifinal and the grand final.
